On this day in 1963 twin jockeys Richard & Michael Hills were born. Their father is former racehorse trainer Barry Hills. Both had successful careers with Richard wining the St Leger in 1999 on Mutafaweheq and the Ascot Gold Cup in 1990 on Ashal.
Michael Hills also won the Ascot Gold Cup in 1994 on Arcadian Heights and the Derby on Shaamit in 1996.
